If your child loves music with a beat and loves to bop and move, this is the perfect style for them. We use the ATOD (Australian Teachers of Dancing) Jazz Moves syllabus, which progresses from our Test One level (Ruby Jazz) all the way up to Gold Star and beyond! They learn skipping, isolations, combinations, routines, kicks, turns and leaps.
As they progress to the older levels they learn elements of musical theatre, lyrical (slow jazz) and more. This class progresses through set exercises in each grade and students are welcome to take exams in this class if they wish, however not compulsory. Ruby Jazz to Silver Jazz is 45 minutes, Gold Jazz and above is 1 hour.
