If your child loves to twirl and spin and express themselves to beautiful music, then classical ballet is a beautiful style which will help build strength, posture, co-ordination and elegance.
We use the ATOD (Australian Teachers of Dancing) classical ballet syllabus, which progresses from Test 2 (Pre-Lim Ballet) all the way up to Gold Star and beyond.
Ballet is the foundation of all styles of dance and will help build core strength, body awareness, posture and alignment. Ballet is also great for discipline, focus, memory and creativity.
This class progresses through set exercises in each grade and students are welcome to take exams in this class if they wish, however not compulsory.
Pre-Lim Ballet is 45 minutes, Grade 1 Ballet is 1 hour. For Grade 2 Ballet and above it is recommended they attend 2 classes per week if they wish to complete exams.
